Police Academy: 30th Anniversary

In this episode of Soylent GreenScreen Podcast we sat down to discuss the 1984 classic comedy Police Academy.

Throughout this episode we discussed the stereotypes, the characters, the legacy and whether or not the Police Academy series ended because they could not make the movies any shorter whilst still being considered theatrical films.

The response to the film was divisive amongst the Soylent GreenScreeners. Wayne thought it was great and that it stood the test of time and considers it the Citizen Kane of comedic cop movies. The Justin’s found it amusing but not substantially great. Michelle face-palmed herself at the stupidity of the Police Academy franchise and cannot believe they were able to release as many films as they did.
